.CO Domain Name Rules/Requirements

The following policies are applicable for .CO domain names:

  • Win Win Infoway provides Registration services under the below .CO extensions:

    • .COM.CO

    • .NET.CO

    • .NOM.CO

  • Only Registrar .CO Internet S.A.S. provides Registration services under the below.CO extensions:

    • .ORG.CO

    • .MIL.CO

    • .GOV.CO

    • .EDU.CO.

  • Registration of .ORG.CO, .MIL.CO, .GOV.CO, .EDU.CO will remain pending until the Registrant submits the requested documentation to Registrar .CO Internet S.A.S.. 1

  • .CO supports Spanish Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs).

  • Accented character (á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, ü) usage is supported in the case of creating/editing the Name, Company Name and Address fields for all .CO domain name Contacts.

  • Privacy Protection is not supported for .CO domain names.

  • There is no support for IPv6 addresses for .CO domain names.

  • A .CO domain name will not have any Money Back Grace Period.

  • Only .COM.CO, .NET.CO, .NOM.CO domain names can be transferred to another Registrar.

  • There is a 60 day Transfer lock upon Registration as well as Transfer of a .CO domain name.

  • Bulk actions i.e., Bulk Registration, Bulk Transfer, Bulk Lock/Unlock, Bulk Suspend/Unsuspend, Bulk Privacy Protection, Bulk Modify are not supported for .CO domain names.

  • If .COM.CO, .NET.CO, .NOM.CO, .ORG.CO domain names are not renewed within 30 days after their Expiry, they are deleted.

  • Only .MIL.CO, .GOV.CO, .EDU.CO domain names are automatically renewed for a period of 5 years post their Expiry.

  • Redemption Grace Period for a .CO domain name is 15 days.
